Collocations ေတြနဲ႔ ဆီေလ်ာ္ေအာင္သံုးတတ္ေစဖို႔ (ေဒါက္တာစိုးသန္း)
Collocations ေတြနဲ႔ဆီေလ်ာ္ေအာင္သံုးတတ္ေစဖို႔
A collocation is a combination of words that are commonly used together.
collocation ကို 'စကားလံုးမ်ားကို ဆီေလွ်ာ္စြာတြဲသံုးျခင္း' လို႔ ဘာသာျပန္ရမယ္ထင္ပါတယ္။
အဂၤလိပ္စာမွာ
I do my homework. ဆိုရင္ မွန္တယ္။
I make my homework. ဆိုရင္ေတာ့မွားတယ္။
make နဲ႔ do ဟာ ျမန္မာလိုဆိုရင္ေတာ့ ျပဳလုပ္သည္...လို႔အဓိပၸါယ္ရေပမဲ့ make homework ဟာ wrong collocation ျဖစ္တယ္။ Native speakers ေတြကေတာ့ natural collocation ျဖစ္တဲ့ do homework လို႔သာ သံုးၾကတာျဖစ္လို႔ပါ။ အလားတူပဲ do the shopping သာမွန္ၿပီး make the shopping ဆိုရင္ မွားတာေပါ့။
the firsr round of negotiaions
enter into a negotiation
break off negotiations with someone
The matter is still under negotiation.
Just learning the meanings of the words in isolation is not enough. You should also learn the words as they are used in context.
