Must and Can’t

You can use ‘must’ to say that you believe something is certain.

‘တစ်ခုခုဟာသေချာတယ်လို့ယုံကြည်ရင်’ must ကို သုံးပြီး ဖော်ပြပြောဆိုနိုင်တယ်။

You’ve been travelling all day. You must be tired.

မင်းတနေ့လုံး ခရီးသွားနေတာ၊ မင်း ပင်ပန်းမှာပေါ့။ (မင်းပင်ပန်းနေမှာသေချာတယ်)

Thida must get very bored in her job. She does the same thing every day.

သီတာတော့ သူ့အလုပ်မှာ ပျင်းမှာသေချာတယ်၊ သူ‌ နေ့တိုင်း အလုပ်တမျိုးတည်းကိုပဲ လုပ်ရတယ်။

You can use ‘can’t’ to say that you believe something is not possible.

‘တစ်ခုခုဟာမဖြစ်နိုင်ဘူးလို့ ယုံကြည်ရင်’ can’t ကို သုံးပြီး ဖော်ပြပြောဆိုနိုင်တယ်။

You’ve just had lunch. You can’t be hungry already.

မင်း နေ့လယ်စာ ခုလေးတင်စားပြီးတာ၊ မင်း ဗိုက်ဆာမှာမဟုတ်ဘူး။

They haven’t lived here for very long. They can’t know many people.

သူတို့ ဒီမှာနေတာ မကြာသေးဘူး၊ သူတို့ လူအများကြီးကို မသိနိုင်ဘူး။

‘တစ်ခုခုဟာသေချာပေါက်ဖြစ်မယ်လို့ ယုံကြည်ရင်’ must ကို သုံးပါ။

‘တစ်ခုခုဟာမဖြစ်နိုင်ဘူးလို့ ယုံကြည်ရင်’ can’t ကို သုံးပါ။  

Apply them.
